Scent of Destruction
"Brian the Barbarian. He razes all he sees!"
Well, last week I took a little time off from work for my birthday. During that time I managed to break just about everything I touched. Man was I annoyed. Let me rattle the list off for you and the status of the object's repair.
Well, last week I took a little time off from work for my birthday. During that time I managed to break just about everything I touched. Man was I annoyed. Let me rattle the list off for you and the status of the object's repair.
- Stripped motorcycle oil plug: Sort of fixed. After 3 days of self mechanic work, a new drain plug and washer and new threads, the leak is... slower. = ( What I should have done was just wrap some Teflon tape around the threads after the repair, even though I shouldn't have needed to. Now I just have to watch my oil level for the rest of the season. You live you learn.
- Windshield crack: On the way from one motorcycle garage to the next a giant rock hit my 6 month old windshield and cracked it. I fixed this though for about $10. I got rocked, then I fixed it, now I rock.
- Big screen TV: Again, not even 6 months old and the bulb blew. Toshiba said they would send me a new one since it is under warranty. That was Thursday afternoon, I am now on day 5 of no television. I feel my sanity slipping. I am also bored. Yesterday I William Hung 2 pictures, vacuumed, swept the kitchen, did 2 loads of laundry and ironed. I want my TV back!
- Broken mini-blind: Not actually mini at all since it goes all the way across my dining room window, but fixed nevertheless. Actually, that is another one of the things I accomplished sans TV.
