A Day of Crazy

Well, so far Guam is nice. Hot and trashy but nice. Trashy in many ways though. As you drive you notice wrecked cars on the side of the road. Rusted and rotted out interiors littering the landscape. It is like that everywhere.

Here is a quick recap of my week so far.

There is officially nothing to do here. There are also very few bars that do not double as strip clubs. I went to one. Guam is a tourist/vacation location for the Japanese, since it is a quick flight from Tokyo (about 4 hours). Believe it or not, the strip clubs are also a tourist location. While in the club I saw a tour guide with a group of Japanese men AND women. The strippers seem to get a kick out of them. They try to make out with the Japanese women. Apparently America is the only place that is all reserved about their sexuality. Also, I have never seen anyone work so hard for a dollar in my life. I'll leave it at that.

Last night my coworkers and I decided to order some pizzas. I did the ordering. Three medium pizzas. One veggie and ham, one meat lovers, one cheese. Upon being asked how I wanted those pizzas, I quickly replied. "Thin crust on the cheese, pan on the veggie, and hand-tossed on the meat." I didn't even get it at first. Apparently someone (me) wants their meat hand-tossed.

It doesn't end there. My coworkers and I saw a naked girl in the pool from my room on the ninth floor. That is far away from the pool, but we all know breasts when we see them. Unfortunately, we also all know a penis when we see one, which is exactly what was unfortunately, for us, attached to the person with.

What' s next Guam?

The Virginia-Guam ologues

As many of you know. I am now out of the country. I have been for a few days actually. So far there is really nothing to report. I am however, in a tropical paradise. It is crazy how amazing it looks here. The ship I am on even has an amazing view. Nothing but tiny beaches and little coves with mountains in the background. It is a bit surreal. The ocean is a blue that I have never seen before. It hasn't rained yet either.

Today I went snorkeling. I saw a barracuda and I had fish eating top ramen out of my hands. The place we went snorkeling was actually on the base. Apparently it is one of the best places on the island to do so. Score one for the Navy.

Rest assured there will soon be pictures. I will make sure to give one of the view from my beach front condo also. Keep it real in the states.
